BIG PIPE is a proprietary blend of solvents and dispersants that effectively removes and disperses wax deposits from crude oil storage tanks. BIG PIPE will clean surface equipment in the removal of BSW heavy hydrocarbons from inner tank walls and bottoms of those surfaces.
Big Pipe Benefits
BIG PIPE is a very effective treatment for liquefying and dispersing paraffin buildup in the bottom of large crude oil storage tanks. BIG PIPE is highly effective as a formation cleaner for stripping heavy hydrocarbons from formation surfaces as well. BIG PIPE was designed specifically for higher gravity crudes with high wax content but is also effective on lower gravity crudes. BIG PIPE provides fast dispersion of waxes and paraffin deposition, allowing the material to be liquefied in crude oil tanks.
Applications
BIG PIPE is best applied in batch applications for the liquefaction of paraffin removal from crude oil tanks. Treatment rates vary depending on the severity and depth of paraffin depositions in the bottom of tanks. Treatment frequencies range from weekly to monthly batch applications at volumes of 100 to 200 gallons per treatment to maintain tank cleanliness after the tank has been cleaned using the BIG PIPE cleaner. BIG PIPE is the perfect product to minimize downtime when preparing for an API 653 tank inspection.
